Unpacking & Home Setup Project: Pantry and Kitchen Transformation

This Ocean County client had just moved into a new home and was feeling overwhelmed by the number of boxes still needing to be unpacked throughout their kitchen and pantry. With a large amount of belongings, a spacious kitchen layout, and the mental exhaustion that often follows a move, they wanted support creating an organized system from the start rather than spending weeks unpacking box-by-box themselves.

The Coastal Curation Co. sourced and installed customized organizational products throughout the pantry before thoughtfully unpacking and arranging all kitchen and pantry items into functional, intuitive categories. Cabinets, drawers, and pantry shelving were designed to maximize accessibility, improve day-to-day flow, and ensure every item had a defined place within the home.

By the end of the project, the homeowners were able to fully settle into their new space the same weekend of the move without the stress of unpacking, searching through boxes for essentials, or making hundreds of organizational decisions after an already chaotic moving process. The result was a calm, functional kitchen and pantry setup designed to support their everyday routines from day one.

This Monmouth County client was preparing to list her home for sale while simultaneously getting ready for an upcoming move. With limited time before listing photography and showings, she wanted support organizing, packing, and transforming several underutilized spaces within the home to improve both functionality and overall presentation.

One spare room located off the garage had primarily become a general storage area, but had the potential to function as a welcoming mudroom space for prospective buyers. The Coastal Curation Co. decluttered the room, packed and categorized items for the upcoming move, removed and rearranged furniture, and sourced and installed organizational and staging elements to completely transform the space in just one day.

A second spare room was transitioned into a functional, styled home office through thoughtful organization, furniture relocation, and selective staging. Personal belongings were carefully packed and categorized while surfaces and shelving were refined to create a more polished, intentional presentation for listing purposes.

The result was a home that felt more functional, cohesive, and market-ready, allowing the client to move forward with both the selling and moving process without having to manage the physical and mental workload of preparing the home herself.

Move Prep Project: Mudroom Decluttering, Packing and Staging

As part of this client’s pre-listing and move preparation project, an underutilized spare bedroom was transformed into a functional and thoughtfully staged home office. Prior to the project, the client had been using the dining room as a workspace and wanted to create a more intentional office setup that would both improve daily functionality before the move and enhance the home’s presentation for upcoming listing photos and showings.

The Coastal Curation Co. decluttered the spare room, packed and categorized personal belongings for the upcoming move, relocated office furniture into the room, and thoughtfully styled the space to feel brighter, more cohesive, and more functional overall. Decorative and organizational elements were incorporated to create a polished office environment while still maintaining practicality for the client’s day-to-day use leading up to the move.

Interestingly, recommendations discussed during the project aligned closely with feedback the client later received from her realtor regarding how to better present and brighten the space prior to listing!

The final result was a clean, functional home office that added purpose and visual value to the home while also helping the client better navigate the transition period before moving into her new house.

This Asbury Park client reached out for help transforming an overcrowded multi-purpose closet that had gradually become a combination coat closet, storage space, and overflow bedroom closet. Over time, the closet had become so full that additional belongings were beginning to accumulate outside of the space, creating visual clutter and making the surrounding hallway feel chaotic and less functional. Her primary goal was not only to declutter the closet, but to create enough functionality and accessibility within the space to better support the rest of the home as well.

The Coastal Curation Co. thoughtfully decluttered, categorized, and reorganized the closet to maximize vertical space, improve accessibility, and create more intentional storage zones throughout. Through strategic space planning and organization methods, enough room was created to relocate the exercise equipment and additional overflow items into the closet, significantly improving both the functionality of the closet itself and the surrounding hallway.

The final result was a cleaner, more spacious, and highly functional storage system that allowed the client to clearly see and access her belongings while creating a calmer, more usable environment throughout the home.

With too many clothes, limited functional systems, and no clearly defined organization method in place, the closet had gradually become visually overwhelming and difficult to keep tidy day-to-day. The client hated dealing with overstuffed hanging sections, difficulty locating items while getting ready, clothing piling up in different areas, and a closet that no longer felt supportive of her daily routine.

The Coastal Curation Co. thoughtfully decluttered and categorized the space, coordinated donation and discard removal, and implemented customized organizational systems designed to improve visibility, accessibility, and long-term functionality throughout the closet. Clothing was arranged in a more intentional, streamlined way to maximize usable space while creating a calmer and more manageable environment overall.

The final result was a cleaner, lighter, and more functional closet that not only looked significantly more organized, but also better supported the client’s everyday routines and reduced the stress and friction often associated with getting ready each day.
